Based on the height of the pilings in your picture and the reported temp, I assume the boat is located in Northern New England somewhere. Should be an easy trip home in the spring.
Alex, glad to have you at the helm my friend. Let me know if I can help. Congratulations on the new boat she looks great. That is quite a jump, cant wait to see her in person.
Congratulations Alex, nice boat, you'll love it. Does that have bridge A/C?
You got it Vince. She's located in CT. I'm really looking forward to the maden voyage in the spring. We most likely will make a long weekend trip out of it and visit few places along the way.
Alex, I can drive your family to CT to pick up the boat... Just tell me when... Hope we can make this LI tirp... I hope the price of fuel drops...
BTW I checked, and Dover Oil will deliver to LHPM, and they do not charge extra for Marina delivery. So you will only have to fuel up a marina when you are on trips away from home...
Thanks guys!
Our company now blocks many social sites, including photobucket, so I have to find some time to post pics form home (without loading them directly here, which is a pain as I have huge files).
The story is very simple, besides the fact that I found exceptionally clean boat and the owner who pempered her as part of the deal my 320 was accepted as a trade (for reasonable amount), which was the biggest driver. The rest was just regular process details. I did both surveys (hull and mechanical). I have few things that I'll have to address, but in overall the condition of the boat was very much acceptible to me.
It was very "interesting" running the boat in 27degrees with water being 34degrees. When we came back there was ice all over the boat.
She's currently shrink-wrapped and inpatiently waiting for spring. Obviously, I'm counting the days I can take the wrap off.
I was wondering on what thread you were going to fess up about your new boat. After subjecting the forum to cross examination about diesels etc., then sharing your unfortunate buying attempt with us, I was a bit surprised that you chose such a low key way to "inform" the flock. Anyway, it is so cool that you were able to trade your existing boat in on the 420DB which is what I was able to do on my 320. Also, this boat is about 4 or 5 years newer than what you were originally targeting so congrats all the way around!!:smt038
Thanks Brian. No, it's got everything else, but this is something I'll have to add, if I'll feel it's necessary. I don't remember, do you have it?
BTW, now you know that when we said we really liked your boat we weren't kidding...LOL.
Alex, where in CT is it? Let me know if i can be of assistance, maybe i will meet you there when you come up!

Russ, it's in Norwalk CT. Is it far from you?
We might be interested... We're going to do Nantucket and Block. If the stars align, we'll join the party.
