Alex, I'm waiting to see the location in case it's too far, i will follow the thread. My vacation for Aug is 8/15 thru 8/26 so the dates are fine for us hope we can go last year was a lot of fun at watch Hill.

Alex, glad to have you at the helm my friend. Let me know if I can help. Congratulations on the new boat she looks great. That is quite a jump, cant wait to see her in person.

Congratulations Alex, nice boat, you'll love it. Does that have bridge A/C?

Based on the height of the pilings in your picture and the reported temp, I assume the boat is located in Northern New England somewhere. Should be an easy trip home in the spring.

You got it Vince. She's located in CT. I'm really looking forward to the maden voyage in the spring. We most likely will make a long weekend trip out of it and visit few places along the way.

Thanks Russ! PM sent.

Thanks Brian. No, it's got everything else, but this is something I'll have to add, if I'll feel it's necessary. I don't remember, do you have it?

BTW, now you know that when we said we really liked your boat we weren't kidding...LOL.

Alex, I can drive your family to CT to pick up the boat... Just tell me when... Hope we can make this LI tirp... I hope the price of fuel drops...

BTW I checked, and Dover Oil will deliver to LHPM, and they do not charge extra for Marina delivery. So you will only have to fuel up a marina when you are on trips away from home...

That's great news Rod .......and many thanks for the offer. We actually might need the ride.

I also hope that you guys can do the LI trip. I know you've been there, but LI has som much to offer that we have to go back. Also, I'm thinking to add a block Island to my list of ports. I've had it on the radar for a while.

Thanks guys!

Our company now blocks many social sites, including photobucket, so I have to find some time to post pics form home (without loading them directly here, which is a pain as I have huge files).

The story is very simple, besides the fact that I found exceptionally clean boat and the owner who pempered her as part of the deal my 320 was accepted as a trade (for reasonable amount), which was the biggest driver. The rest was just regular process details. I did both surveys (hull and mechanical). I have few things that I'll have to address, but in overall the condition of the boat was very much acceptible to me.

It was very "interesting" running the boat in 27degrees with water being 34degrees. When we came back there was ice all over the boat.

She's currently shrink-wrapped and inpatiently waiting for spring. Obviously, I'm counting the days I can take the wrap off.

I was wondering on what thread you were going to fess up about your new boat. After subjecting the forum to cross examination about diesels etc., then sharing your unfortunate buying attempt with us, I was a bit surprised that you chose such a low key way to "inform" the flock. Anyway, it is so cool that you were able to trade your existing boat in on the 420DB which is what I was able to do on my 320. Also, this boat is about 4 or 5 years newer than what you were originally targeting so congrats all the way around!!:smt038

Thanks Bob,

No "low key inform". I'm just extremely busy with work and other stuff and didn't have chance to do the write up, but I'll post more details in a separate thread with some pictures.

Alex, yes, I guess you weren't kidding. I don't think you NEED the bridge A/C (except on very hot, very humid or rainy days), I don't have it, but, it is one of the things if I move up the next one will have (I think it's standard on the 52). I also think it's a bear to add. I have the third helm chair and the kids like that anyway.

Alex, where in CT is it? Let me know if i can be of assistance, maybe i will meet you there when you come up!

Looks Like South Norwalk. There's a SeaRay dealer on the west side of Norwalk Harbor near the SoNo Seaport rest. Congrats Alex.

Hey guys,

I added a poll for the dates, which may help us to pick the best option that works for everyone. So, please free to place your vote and let's get over this mileston and move on to the location. Then, we'll be pretty much set.

Alex, can you add Great South Bay, NY as my traveling from location, please.

Alex, please add us to the list.

"Havana Shamrock" Joe and Martha kids TBD, 2003, 320, south shore long island.

thank you , cant wait.......JOE

Brian/Joe, I got your info on the first page.

This is great, we already have 11 boats and it's only January. Way to go guys.

I see few votes for August 13th. Let's see if more people can click the button of their choice. I'm open for any date, so I'll go with what majority will choose.

We might be interested... We're going to do Nantucket and Block. If the stars align, we'll join the party.

Mike, do you still need more time or can I add you to the list?

Hey guys,

Thanks for submitting your votes. We got 10 votes for August 13th weekend. So, it's pretty save to say that we can close the poll and shift our focus on the location.

I've updated the first page with a list of locations we've descussed and the map. I also added some notes for each location (some are mine and some from other member's comments).

In short, the list as follows:
1. Greenport (Townsend Manor or Village Dock),
2. Shelter Island (Coecles Harbor),
3. Sag Harbor (SHYC),
4. Montauk (MYC),
5. Shinnecock (Meschut),
6. Westhampton Beach (Village or Bath and Tennis)
7. Block Island,
8. Propose another location.

Let's tune the list and vote for desired location.
