They got an extra night out of me.lol anyway it's early and so far they have split the club Searay group on to 3 different docks.

Dave our dock is the "small boat dock".....

It was a pleasure meeting new to me CSR members and seeing the familiar faces as well. It was fun.

Dave, we also enjoyed meeting everyone. I hope you had a pleasant ride home? We had 6 footers on our 6 hour trip.

Not nice. Larry and I left at 8:00 and had teaming rain (all the way home) seas were flat for awhile and increased to a light chop. We cruised at 25.5 kts and slowed down to 22 kts at Stratford shoals.
Not a bad ride at all.

We had a great time meeting new and old alike. Dave, boat is gorgeous and you guys are great hosts... Thanks again. The remaining contingent was headed to Block this am, but the weather isnt cooperating so will try to make the trek out tomorrow. Joe, did you stay outside or duck in to SI?

It was great meeting all of the CSR members at MYC. Everyone was awesome!

I had a great time with the "South Shore Gang" and it was great to finally meet you Joe.

I second Rons comment Dave, your vessel is awesome and you guys were fantastic hosts! Thank you for having us all.

Russ, It was great to finally meet you and Marybeth and split bread together. Thanks for that. I look forward to seeing you in Port Jeff later in the season.

Steve and Kris, Thanks for the tour of your yacht too! I loved that boat and if I could step up to that market, your layout was PERFECT!! It was great meeting you both and I look forward to seeing you in the future, hopefully with the rest of my family next time!

Alex, It was great to see you and your family again! Thank you for organizing this gathering! It appeared to be a great success! PS: Don't forget to e-mail me the Bethany cleavage pics! LOL

And of course, Thanks to Paul for letting me chill out for the ride and sharing his boat with me! I don't think either one of us would have been able to go otherwise! It was a great time and I am greatful to have been there!

The trip home was definitely an experience for me. I have never been in seas like that before or tranversed an inlet with breakers crashing all around me! Obviously I am not that experienced but, take out the danger factor and it was actually fun! Paul did a great job the whole way and also seemed to enjoy the ride. I felt bad for Joe & Gerard as they had their wives & kids on board and through all of the background screaming and crying coming over the VHF, they did not seem to be sharing my sentiments. I hope they have all recovered well and are not scarred for life!

I will post some pics later. They were a little tough to take on the way back but I tried.

Our pleasure Todd..... and it was great meeting you and everyone else. We had a great time and look forward to the next gathering. You can be sure that if I am in Port Jeff, I will stop by your place for a cold one.....

Kudos to you Alex for putting this together...Its great meeting new people who share the same interest and passion for boating.

We had a great time also. Alex, great job putting it all together. I wish I could have made it to Block.

We had 6 footers on our 6 hour trip.

Wow, I'm glad I went through the Sound. It was pretty flat the whole way. It did rain the entire way, but that's all. I'm glad everyone made it back safe.

Ask & you shall receive!
Here's a shot of Ron running in the sun on our way to Montauk!

Here's Gerard out in the Atlantic heading to the Rendevous too!

Talk about service! Here's the fellow that jumped on our boat to tie our lines while his buddy hooked up the water & electric!

And who is that stepping on the little Hunter sailboat?
CSR MYC pics 2011 078.jpg

Upon closer observation it's Bethany from the Bravo Network, formerly of Real houswives of NYC! She must have heard there were some really cool dudes with nice boats on this dock! She was 2 slips over from Paul & I, right in the middle of our CSR group! Joe stated that she even said "Hello" to him!! What a lucky guy!

Well heading home was quite different than heading out. This is the view looking back out of the Shinnecock Inlet after Paul & I just got inside. That boat out there is Joe, just heading in!

Here is a closer look at Joe's boat as he negotiated the inlet! This pic sends a little chill up my spine!

This is a pic of the ocean conditions but it does the situation no justice at all! It was nasty out there with lots of big rollers that sent us airborne many times!

Sorry the pics are so big, I don't know how to shrink them down.
Well, that's a little taste of the weekend @ MYC! I can't wait until the next one when I bring my boat there!

Here's a few more pics!

First a big Thanks to the host of our impromptu party on his beautiful 580 SSS, Dancin Dave! He was swingin Carona's and Colada's while his admiral put out a spread that would make the Yacht club itself jealous!! A really great time and excellent hosts!

Speaking of the admiral, there is Lisa sitting at the helm next to their daughter. Down in front, from left to right, you'll see Russ' wife Marybeth then Paul's wife Michelle (Who pulled away enough time from her family obligations to drive 2 1/2 hours each way to say hello) and Steve' admiral Kris!

Here we have Kris, Steve & Ron all partaking in the festivities!

And here of course is my man, Russ, Ron's admiral Marybeth & their son.

A good time was had by all!!

Hey Dave, love the photo. Trying to PM you but site says your inbox is full. Thought I would share with you that we have 12 inches of snow on the ground here and its still coming. Heaviest in 50+ years. Enjoy all that sunshine. regards to all fellow site members from Downunder. Safe boating.

Hey Steve! How are you doing? Dave & I were talking about you on saturday. I was telling him the story of how I ended up with his old M3. His new boat was quite nice I must tell you.

It was my pleasure Todd, we had a blast!
