Alex,
This is Tina, MasterFab's wife. I just wanted to confirm what we will be bringing to the Friday night dinner. Dale is busy working on the boat. ...
I will be making a veggie pasta salad and brownies for dessert. We will also be bringing a watermelon for anyone who wants to keep things healthy.
Let me know if we need anything else. Can't wait to meet everyone.
Tina

Tina,

Thank you very much for the update. I'll update the first page with your info. Enjoy the trip and we're looking to see you guys at MYC.

Cheers,
Alex.

We are going to have to cancel.

I thought you fixed your stearing.....I guess not?

BTW, if you're around (some place north) it would be cool if you can swing by MYC for the weekend.

Alex,
It's official, I'm riding shotgun with Paul on this trip. I know it's a strange turn of events but, who am I to pass up a guy's weekend at sea!! I will definitely bring something for the table I'm just not sure what yet! I will grab it from the restaurant on thursday. I pm'd Greg about the name tags. See you friday!

Todd

Hey Todd, that's great to hear that you guys found the solution that worked for both of you. I've updated the first page.

Guys, Just a heads up on the Montauk inlet. There has been reported shoaling on the east (left) side of the jettie as you enter the inlet. I believe they installed a green can inside the inlet so be sure to keep it on your port side as you enter. They are scheduled to dredge next month.

Thanks for heads up, Steve. So, is this just by the entrance of the inlet? I guess we can consider it now being narrower and we should keep closer to the red can (keeping it on our stbd side)?

Alex......I am sorry I am not going to be able to make it.....I would not get out until Friday and just too long of a cruise for the weekend....Once again, thank you for all your hard work.....Everyone will enjoy the fruits of your labor......Maybe next year, you/we could look at a closer place for us Cape people.......Have a great time and take plenty of photos and video.....Safe passages everyone.

Actually Alex, its inside the inlet when your between the rock jetties so you will have a green can on port and the rock jettie on starboard

Montauk Weather for this Friday... Our ride should be beautiful... It would be a little better if the will wind was out the south west, rather than the North west, but it will be fine..

Mike, you are in Mystic? Did I miss something? - sorry about meeting Ralph, he's a character isn't he?!

After the 4th on Block I came to Mystic - I'm on a Mooring off Willow Point (Mystic Shipyard) - I will return to Newport for Labor Day unless I head south!

John,

I'm sorry your schedule didn't work out. I was looking forward meeting you at MYC. Hopefully, the situation will be in our favor the next year. Enjoy the rest of the season and we'll try to post all sorts of pics/videos of the event.

Thanks for clarification, Steve. I'll mark the spot on my plotter to have a good reminder as we approach.

NJ guys - what route are you taking? Cutting across the mighty Atlantic or heading up the East River?

Atlantic Baby... 58 1/2 degrees out of the Manesquan Inlet to Montauk Point and round and in... Needless to say I am a little bit nervous... 150 miles, and out of sight of land for at least 2 1/2 hours...

Land is overrated.

Hey guys,

It looks like we won't get advanced notice on the slip assignments, so we'll have to contact MYC upon arrival or while you make your way there.

The dockmaster told me that they'll provide the tables, chairs and tablecloths. So, that sure helps.

Godspeed!

Alex,

We are planning to be in Montauk also, but with a group from our home marina and staying at Star Island Y.C. We have plans for Friday evening, but will try to get across the street to say hello to the CSR gang at some point over the weekend. Of course, you are also invited to come visit and share a beverage on Sea Gull II.

It looks like you have a great group and the weather will cooperate for all of us. See you on the water.

Jeff

That's great, Jeff.

If you have some time, take your gang over and join CSR party Friday night.

Safe travel and we'll be happy to see you at Montauk.

Cheers,
Alex.
