Greg, I'm glad to hear that you guys are fine and enjoying the rest of the trip. I began to worry after not getting any response after few days. Take your time and engoy P-town. We had very nice 5hrs run from Montauk to Watch Hill. Upon arrival Paul and Russ were kind enough to assist with the lines. It's party time.

Cheers,
Alex.

I'll try to post my pipcs im sure theres a lot to follow by others.

Ps. Russ, you where the only one i didnt say goodbye to sorry, so till next time, hope you had a great trip.

Hey guys,
I just got back from my Bermuda cruise. I am currently looking for a fat farm that has a detox wing!!:smt043
I hope you all had a good time, sorry I missed it but I will make it next year!
I agree with Joe that we should do a trip to Jersey next year but that kinda leaves Russ out and thats not so cool...Maybe we can all meet @ Liberty Landing?

Joe,
I am going to be at WH for an extended weekend 8/26-8/30. think you can make it over and help me with my detox by drinkin a couple of my beers so I don't overdo it?

Todd, i'm calling betty ford myself, the kids are going to camp in the A M so we are looking at spending some days on the boat by our selves Alex suggested Westhampton, we were thinking of bouncing around any ideas to help me out with the wifey? she wants a good restaraunt instead of eating on the boat every night.
Hope your cruise was fun I'm sure it was,

We had a great time and made many new friends. Watch Hill was a lot of fun and we'd love to comeback. Due to mild wind we didn't have much trouble with bugs. The weather was very good, which always helps. We left at 7am as I was trying to enter the JI early with forecast calling for 3-5ers. The ocean ride was very unique. The seas were very confused. 10kts SE wind was pushing us from the port side. We were going through 3-4' rollers with the constant chop in between. The seas were slightly changed 3 times during the trip, which I think is due to the different areas and wind direction changes. My 320 handled it as a champ.

Russ, I tried catching up with you Sat. night when we were saying good bye to everyone. But, I guess you called it the night early.

I’ll do a complete write up of our trip and will post it as part of my original thread and will post the link here as well. We have lots of pictures and great memory from the trip.

Thanks to everyone who was able to participate and sorry we missed those who couldn’t make it. Let’s do better planning next time, so no one misses the great party.

Cheers,
Alex.

Joe,

I can recommend couple of places in Westhampton:

-post stop cafe - pretty good for dinner (good food and priced fairly).
-star buggs - I've herd that it's very good upscale place for dinner.
- beach bakery cafe - famous bakery with lots of things to choose for breakfast.

Make sure to watch the tides very closelly for Moriches and approach no less than 1hr before the high tide.

Upon arrival to the WH area you'll need to raise WH bridge (it's only 9-10'), so be ready to communicate on #13.

If you'll be staying in the town dock make sure to drop off the dinghy before attempting to get in to the slip.

Nice pictures of the party. It was lots of fun, but I think Paul no longer owns that colerfull sweatshirt....... LOL

Alex.

Dont worry about me! I appreciate it but thats the great thing about this club, plenty of folks around to meet and greet. I was thinking maybe a Block trip next year for up this way. Maybe if we plan an informal meet in a few areas that overlap, once a year, folks can participate if time and distance work for the location of thier choice. Just thoughts.
I do plan on attending the Maritime Festival in Greenport LI in September - you guys have some great boating out there on the island! Anyone up for a great event? New thread?

We had a pretty good trip back although a little longer than we are used to - 5.5 hours in one day. The boat performed flawlessly and it was a beautiful ride with great weather. I will also post some pics of the trip soon. Sorry we missed you at the end Alex, I did turn in a little early expecting the long long ride home, guess I am getting old! I had a couple of 8 or 9 hour drinking tours, that week, that began at noon and I just ran out of steam  I love vacation, now I need a vacation from my vacation.
We met some really great people and had some great times in a relatively short period. Thanks to all that made the effort and were able to come out. I look forward to meeting the rest that could not, next time.

Guys, it was great meeting all of you and being able to put a person together with a boat and a name. Hope you all enjoyed your little bit of Long Island boating and hope that we're able to get together again, whether it be on LI, in NJ or somewhere in New England. Enjoy the rest of the season.

Russ,
The Maritime Festival appears to be 9/24-9/26. If you're going to be there I might take a drive out as it is about an hour from my house. It could be a cool family day! Let me know your feelings on this.

Brian,
Are you going to be at Watch Hill any time soon? I will be there 8/26-8/31 or there abouts. I am also planning on going for a long weekend on 9/9-9/12 as the schools are closed for Roshashana. Hope to see you there!

Todd, that would be great. I started another thread for it to see if there was any interest. We have reservations from Thursday through Sunday at Townsend Marina. You can usually get in at Sterling right across. Let me know.

Russ,
I'm talking about driving my car there! I should have little problems getting a parking spot!

Logistics Russ! School is open and that time is chaos in this houshold!! I will probably only be doing a few day trips or a weekend at Fire Island by then. Sorry Man!

Todd,
I'm hoping to get there on either the morning of the 26th or the evening of the 27th. I've got to bring my daughter back to college the morning of the 27th so the boat may be there but I won't until Friday night. I expect that I'll then stay until Labor Day. I'll be on "D" dock....as always.

Where is this Martime Fest at??? I think it warents a new post... BTW when you guy going to post some incriminating pics from your journey???
