I accidentally ordered a LH Merc Alpha-4 Aluminum 4-Blade prop for my boat, instead of the RH. The Prop is BRAND NEW; has not touched the water.
$150 plus shipping (USPS) (cell: 401-269-1648) (rkulesh@gmail.com)
This is a brand new (never used) prop, WITH the hub installed (I cannot return it now because the seller didn't supply the hub - thanks ebay). It is a 4-blade aluminum prop, 15x16 (equal to a 15x17 3-blade aluminum).

From the manufacturer's website:
"The Alpha 4 aluminum propeller provides four-blade performance and acceleration at an affordable price. The Alpha 4 is an outstanding propeller for stern drive-powered runabouts, as well as cruisers. With an Alpha 4, your boat will get on plane quicker and stay on plane at lower speeds than with a comparable three-blade propeller. The Alpha 4 is also an excellent water sports prop.
•Available in 16-, 18- and 20-pitch
•Right-hand and left-hand rotation
•Fits outboards (135hp and above), Alpha and Bravo One stern drives
•Recommended for inline 4, V6- and V8-powered stern drives."
The prop was on a boat for 10 minutes (out of water), which long enough for me to realize something was backwards. I read the box it came in, and slapped myself in the forehead and uttered a string of expletatives. I spent $190 on it ($135 for the prop and $55 for the hub assembly). Manufacturer photos used for ad because I didn't keep it on the boat long enough for photos...and the double facepalm should be self-explanatory.
Take advantage of my misfortune, and score a brand new LEFT HANDED prop, all ready to go. All you need is a wrench for installation.
*NOTE* When I installed the correct rotation (read: right handed), my boat planed better and the cruising speed at 3,300 rpm went from 18 to 21 mph. The increase form going from 3-blade to 4-blade props is real, even when using aluminum props.
So, now that you've had a chuckle at my error (might as well laugh, ya know?), if you need a better prop, or are still running some 3-blade aluminums on your twins, take this opportunity to boost your performance and cut fuel costs with the twin 4-blades. They make a great improvement and at a fraction of the cost of stainless steel props.
