Super disappointed in Lewmar. Our V700 started having issues a few years back - the clutch slips even if you tighten it up. Turns out the windlass had a pretty long warranty and they it was still under warranty. I spent a good 18 months to 2 years leaving messages (no response) and filling out online contact forms (no response). Finally in the late fall / winter of last year 2021 I got a hold of a human. She (begrudgingly) wanted my receipt (reasonable) and records of all the emails I sent. Since they were contact forms and not emails I had no record, and miracle of miracles for her - they took so frigging long to EVER answer their phone that they magically managed to run out the warranty. Had they EVER ONCE responded for the first 18 months I would have been covered.
So... I haven't responded since I'm way too angry at them.
Anyone know anyone at Lewmar? Is this standard procedure for them?
