Thought I would post our marina's website up here as well. I designed and coded it using Flash. I'm proud to say that I am currently Vice Commodore. To view properly, you do need to have a current version of flash player installed on your computer.

Not really a marina. A club with access to the mooring field. Just sold my sailboat and returned to the darkside. Great location on Long Island Sound for family boating.

Heres the smallest in the world I think. http://bmarinacampground.net/

Most of the time we have the whole place to ourselves. My boat in the the website picture with the blue backdrop. Nice quiet place 2 1/2 miles to the gulf. fresh water where I am so the engines get flushed out comming back in.

Here is mine, Lambs Yacht Center, I am under the far outside brown roof, fourth roof back. I do not know why they are brown as they are made of concrete.

Better photo here, Jacksonville's Marina Mile. i am in the outside slip. (Look at the bottom about center of the page to what looks like a lying down letter 'E." I am about midway between the two boats on the face dock.under the concrete roof

Now as an aside :smt100 :smt043

Just found out today if myself and another CSR member here can get four boats from other locations to dock/rent a slip here, Lambs Yacht Center in Jacksonville. They are going to lower all of the 41 foot concrete slips down from $580.00 plus electric per month to $480.00 plus electric per month.

These are not floating docks, but they have full length finger piers along each side, plus the concrete roof overhead. The difference in cost is offset to you because the covered docks sure prolongs the gel coat and canvas maintenance. Less waxing and buffing needed, and less sun exposure to the canvas.

Not to mention the protection offered in the hurricane season.

There are people from out of state who keep their boats berthed here.

    I am only referring to these slips;

So have a look at the link above and help me and the other CSR member here reduce our slip rates by $100.00 per month.

    Thanks

See Hans' post. I am at the same marina. I am proud to say I used to be the Rear Commodore for a couple of years and then I became the Commodore for a couple of years. Great jobs working for some really great club members.

I first rented my slip here at Grider Hill Marina in 1990, same year as my boat ;)
    http://www.griderhillmarina.com/index.html

Was gone for a couple years and went to the "high end" marina on our lake. Was fun but we had a very long walk to our boat, over 1/2 mile, and it was 2x the price.
    http://statedock.com/marina.htm

We went back to our same covered slip and enjoy the quiet more laid back atmosphere. The nice thing about Lake Cumberland is there are no homes along the shoreline, except a couple older areas.

This is also called the Houseboat Capital of the World. Huge mega boats at all the marinas.

Great Marina. I stayed there a couple times when we did the TN river trip from Chattanooga to Knoxville. What is the name of the steak house there?? How old is that picture? Seems to me they are missing some docks??
