So the dissassembly process has been pretty simple thus far, with the exception of the 2 vibromount studs. The nut and stud both turn. No way to gain acess below the collection pan to hold a bolt. How are they secured?

I bought my 340 this summer knowing the back end of the genny needs a rebuild, so I’ll be pulling mine over the winter. Are you pulling just the back end, or the entire unit? Also, did you need to pull the manafolds off?

Just the back end. Comes spart in good size pieces. Doesnt look like manifolds or hoses have to come off.

That’s good to know, and should make things a bit easier

Suss once you split the back end off it comes right out. The hardest part is getting the control panel off. There are 4 screws I believe in each corner that hold the panel on. The bottom left screw is behind the wires coming in. Get a mirror and you can see them . Make sure you support the engine side with a 1x4 piece of wood so it doesn't drop down. I had mine rewound in Farmingdale.

I have not put enough effort into this, but it needs to get done and reading this is encouraging.
Thanks for the info.

Thats not the hard part for me.

The rubber iso mounts, over s period of time, will be stuck, and the bolt heads, that are part of the rubber just spins. Now, you have to cut those bolts off. The port side, not too bad. The strbd side was a nightmare. Had to use a long blade on a saw-zaw
