I had to replace my AC unit and the new 16,000 BTU from Citimarine uses a 7-pin wire for the thermostat. It is too big to pass through the zip ties used on the old 3-pin wire. The old thermostat only used a small round hole on the bulkhead next to the bed. I had to enlarge this to a square hole for the new thermostat. When trying to use a wire fish to run the new 7-pin wire we discovered there is a pc of plywood right under the thermostat that blocks direct access. We did discover that if you open the cabinet above the bed next to the bulkhead there is actually a zipper in the vinyl you can unzip to help with guiding the new wire along the hull. We ended up using an old pc of shifter cable and using a mirror we could see when it was level with the new hole and grabbed it with a nut retriever. To say all of this was a huge pain in the ass is an understatement.
