The passive air intake vents on my hull sides create a neat profile that you could fill up with LED lighting would look super cool.

I was thinking some kind of LED rope lighting as it is nearly 14 feet long. What other options might there be? I would want the light to be disbursed consistently throughout the length.

I used the LED's linked below on the interior cockpit of a prior boat. Worked great, waterproof, cheap, bright, easy install (cut to length) and can be combined with a cheapo remote also sold on Amazon. I bet it would work well to install on the inside of the vents.

The only potential downside based on my experience - bugs. Blue is really, really effective at attracting bugs. Be sure to spray your vents regularly with some Ortho or something.

Most every night we are at the boat the cockpit is illuminated red I anticipate also putting multicolor in this location to match the color I have in the cockpit, so that when the boat is in a slip it will have some individual character. Not on quite the same level but similar to the show off lights they put on the large Yachts we see.

BTW, I am so happy I chose multicolor for the cockpit rather than just blue. We use the red a lot as it draws far less bugs.

I guess we are lucky on the bug thing as we really do not have very many bugs on the dock or on the hook. Every exterior light I had was blue in the beginning which is pretty but could not see for anything. Left all blue except for the overhead lights in the cockpit......

I would never have guessed that you had less bugs in Georgia. LOL
