Now that I have some time off from work, due to needing back surgery which is coming up, I have been working on trying to learn to edit video so I can post them. I started a YouTube channel to post these if anybody is interested. Watching videos is how I get thru the cold Ohio winters. https://www.youtube.com/@12000Jetlag

Good looking web page! Do me a favor and post some tips on editing videos with iMovie.
Thanks! I use a program called Cap Cut which is for Windows. I am currently off work awaiting back surgery and I had to find something to take up my time while just sitting around. My doctor doesn't understand that I have to be back on my feet by boat season.

Have been building a pretty good sized collection of videos and pics from along the northern BC coast with the Sea Ray and long runs up all the smaller rivers around here with the jet boat. Going to have to find the time one of these days to do something with them.
Good luck with your back surgery. Had an L5/S1 fusion done in 2019. Fixed it right up!

This will be my third back surgery and both of the others did the trick for almost 10 years. Also going to have 3 discs in my neck replaced. Spring boating launch is what will get me thru this.

I just subscribed to yours, your turn to subscribe to mine :)

I've been using Adobe to merge my videos. Haven't quite mastered editing yet. I'm too lazy and impatient to learn that stuff.

@PlaneGuy I got to the end of your videos,................TACTOR PULL FAILS. Had a squirrel moment. 6 videos later, oh yeah, the forums.

After watching that last video, the adds came up for "other" videos. And the first one was tractor pull fails. I totaly lost what I was doing and after a bunch of the tractors being blown up, I remembered I was reading posts in the forum.

I had a complete squirrel moment.

I thought my channel had been hacked or something lol. Thanks for checking it out.

It's from the Disney movie "Up", and it has to do with an island of dogs who are able to converse with humans. This Lab is the first one they come across. As is typical for a Lab, he's very friendly, a bit dopey, and easily distracted mid-conversa SQUIRREL!

Thanks for checking it out! I am doing it strictly for fun and have no big ambitions of becoming an Academy Award winner for editing lol. Just want to have fun and share some of my adventures. I got this inspiration from watching several other boaters channels and saw how much fun they had doing it.

Like Brian on the S/V Delos? They have some great fun. And some pretty good, not so funs. Some of the places they go, I would never leave.

What you have done so far looks great

I have to say. Some of the videos where they take a sailboat from the US to places like Malta and such are very intriguing. I would love to do something like that. Although my wife would never go for it and I have family that depends on me being around. Its easy to get wrapped up in them during the downtime.

That's awesome that you're using your time off from work to learn video editing and start your own YouTube channel. It's a great way to keep yourself engaged and share your creativity with others. I'll check out your channel! If you need any help with video editing, you might find https://www.movavi.com/support/how-to/how-to-add-picture-to-video.html useful. They have a guide on how to add pictures to your videos, which can enhance your editing skills. Enjoy the process of learning and editing videos, and I wish you a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Keep up the great work, and I'm looking forward to seeing your creations on your YouTube channel!
