All, I have a leak in the outdrive lift hose that goes from the pump reservoir to the outdrive. The leak is right at the point where it goes from the engine compartment through the transom to the outdrive.

OK,

How can one fix this. access is very tight?

You may have to pull the engine to gain enough access to replace the hose. It is attached to the inside of the distribution block on the transom assembly. You may be able to remove the block with the boat out of the water and pull out enough hose slack to allow you to remove the fittings from the block and then fish new ones in. If you can do that, you may luck out and be able to let engine in place.

no need to remove engines for a leaky hose. you will need to pull the boat and drop the mercathode(if equipped) and the hyd dist block. remove the bolts/nuts pull the plate downward and replace the hoses. It is best to replace both at the same tine. just remember where the black one went and the grey one went
