What does everyone do to bring last season fuel back to life keeping in mind that you used some type of stabilizer when you put your boat away last fall.

I always just ran it down to around a quarter of a tank before adding new. If the engines run without any issues, drive away. If you do have problems you can have the tank pumped out.

I did have to have a tank pumped out after the same fuel had sat through two winters when I was sick. The boatyard was able to use it for their machines and since I bought a replacement fill up from them it was a no cost event. If I had to dispose of the gas through a waste oil service it would have been something like $500.00.

We top the tank off in the fall with treated fuel from a marina and add Stabil as an added precaution. We run the genny and mains to circulate the stabilized fuel. Boat usually launched in late April and that fuel lasts until late June with no issues whatsoever. Usual cruising schedule necessitates topping off again 4-5 times per month in July before burning less fuel in August through October when boat is stored again. I would add, the boat has never seen e10 fuel so it enjoys much better conditions than those of you who can not avoid the ethanol issues.

I think as long as you put Stabilizer in the fuel and you fill the tank with non-ethanol fuel you can actually let them sit for years. I have a 1974 Century Arabian with a Crusader Marine 454 350 HP Engine that I let sit for 5 years once because I had transmission issues and that sucker fired right up like it had been cranked a month ago. It is always stored with a double dose of Marine Stabil and non-ethanol fuel in the winter, full tank and I have never had any issues. I run it down about 1/2 tank and stop at Marina and top it off and keep on riding.......

I usually add a can of Seafoam to each tank, and run the hell out of it the first few times out (once I am sure there are no winter gremlins that have popped up). I refill each time I return to the marina, so after a couple trips the old gas is well diluted.

I know there is a lot of controversy over whether Seafoam does anything at all. But my theory is that if there is any fuel varnish that has set up in the tanks or carbs over winter, the stuff may help dissolve it. And the fogging oil in the cylinders probably creates some carbon deposits on start up in spring that I hope are cleaned up a bit with some spring Sea Foam.

I bought my 390 ten years ago with 1/2 tank of 3 year old E10. Yes I was concerned so I installed Racor filters, added stabilizer and some fresh fuel. I have never had a problem and the Racors have always been clean. In the case of the OP it is not even a small concern. Just run it.

Here I fill up in December with non ethanol fuel fully stabilized, run it through the engines and generator before winterizing. Last weekend I just turned on the valves and fired up both engines and generator. The fuel should be perfectly fine.
