Hello to all,

I am looking to purchase one of the hand held temperature sensors, the kind that you point towards a surface, and pull the trigger, and obtain a digital temperature reading.

I pose the question here because I want to buy a quality tool, at a fair price.

Thank you in advance,

Hi,
I bought a Raytek brand MT4 on Ebay 4 or 5 years ago for $50. I see similar ones on Harbor Freight web site for around $30. Check Ebay if you are an Ebay shopper.

If it makes you feel better. . .I have used Rayteks in professional applications.

For maintenance: You know. . .is this 10,000 HP compressor running with hot valves or not?

For safety: That process line is glowing. Is it 900F (running just fine) or 1200F (About to blow up)

Thanks gents. Looks like Raytek is the one, and it's a Fluke company.
I use Fluke meters all the time, and their great.
Thanks again.
