Now that we are back at Lake Wylie I was looking forward to getting a clubsearay local rendezvous on the lake...was thinking about Aquapalooza but it looks like Lake Wylie Marina is not doing it this year...should we get something on the calendar?
 
Hi Wesley, we're boat owners again and would be interested in coming to Lake Wylie at some point to visit. It's good to be back on the water again.

Sounds good. We don't get many CSR folks on LW. Only CSR regulars I know of are Dave and I, guess Wesley now. That would be great.
 
Hey! I'm a CSR regular, and we are on LKW frequently. Actually, 99% of our boating is on LKW. Depending on the timing, count us in.

Sounds like we are off to a great start...we need to pick a date. Wish Lake Wylie was doing Aquapalooza this year....

I am not sure we will see Aquapalooza on many lakes this year, or at least not the smaller ones. From what I have heard, Sea Ray's contributions to the event have dwindled down to either none at all or very little. I guess it is more about selling boats than promoting the brand these days. Not sure I can blame them with all the people they have been laying off the past 9 months or so seems like palooza was a needed cut.

I would also be interested. Most of our boating is on Lake Wylie. We are going to Charleston and Beaufort, SC on July 12 - 14 otherwise we will be on Lake Wylie.

I could trailer down to LKW easy enough. I kinda miss the "sandbar" on South Wylie. I mean a real sandbar that you can stand on! LKN's sandbar is to deep!

This year I'm kinda waiting untill the wet season is past to get into the water, to many "residential sewage spills" this time of year. There should be a bigger fine for it. Tega Cay is always overflowing/dumping into LKW! Maybe I shouldn't have brought that up! haha
 
Let me know the date....I'm always on Lake Wylie. Little Allison Creek Sandbar would be nice....not too much wave action and the sewage spills usually head to the dam from Tega Cay!

You are worried about sewage spills but you want to hang out at the sandbar? What about those several hundred people with bow riders standing around in the water drinking beer all day? :) Seriously though, I agree they need to do something about those spills in Tega Cay. DHEC does nothing but sabre rattle and it keeps happening. Let me know if you plan come down though!

Haha, I never thought about it like that!

Well, it seems like there will be enough participation for a CSR raft up. The South sandbar sounds like a good spot also. Specially as Kendall pointed out the flow direction!
So Wes, is it on you? You started this thought. What say you?

we have a couple friends that boat on Wylie....i am sure they would join us....we have rafted with them the past couple years during aquapalooza....they don't have a Sea Ray but they are good people anyway.. :grin:....
