Lake Saint Clair Peeps

Is everyone talking about the same Saturday? The 16th? I'll try to make it that one also. Maybe if everyone can be there during the same time frame we could all meet up at the Tiki Bar that is usually in the center of the show. Have a drink and introduce ourselves. If it was 1 or 2ish then you could chose to browse either before or after. Blueone if you want to come by I can hold your wallet for you...:D:D:D Keep us posted what you think. Sounds like a lot of us will be there anyways so why not.

See how great this forum is! I mean it's not just any where that somebody offers to carry around such a heavy wallet for somebody else!
Gasket, that's just the way I am. I'm a damn nice guy. Maybe I could use a new dink also.;)

That's funny... I will be in Indiana that weekend.... You guys have fun... When your sitting around in the Tiki bar trying to figure out what your going to do with that pontoon you just bought... Start talking about a rendevous....

Last time I went to the boatshow it sure seemed like it was 80percent pontoon..not sure if its because it's a hot sell or easiest to bring to the show

Any one of you looking to sell or know someone looking to sell their dinghy?

I might want to get a new one. Current one I have is a 2017 Aventus (from Dinghy Concepts) with a 2008 Merc 9.9 outboard. I am just waiting for the boat show at Cobo, I am really eyeing a center console dink.

I'm going to Colonys boat show this weekend to take a looksie and see..currently have a zodiac but looking to jump up to a 13 or 15 whaler..I'm tired or having the zodiac on the Davits on the swim platform.. always in my way and holds dirt and spiders.

keep me posted!
Bmay1909, Looks like I will be moving forward with a center console dinghy, so I will be looking to sell my current dighy this spring. My home port is Bouvier Bridge Marina and if you are at Beacon Cove, you are not too far from me at all. With the dinghy being a RIB, you will need / want a trailer for when you pull it out at the end of the season. I don't have a trailer for the dink as I leave it on my platform while the boat is in winter storage.
I will know within the next few days if I am pulling the trigger on the new one, but as of now, it looks like I will be.

How is this dingy? I'm in the market for one also and spoke to Dingy Concepts last year. Do you know of any issues?

Midexp, The Aventus dinghy is good. I have used it the past two seasons and no issues. The front bow seat is actually bigger and more comfortable for my wife than the one my Zodiac had. The Aventus bow seat is very similar to the one on the 11' Raider dinghy I had.
I run the Aventus with a 9.9hp Merc and no problem plaining with my wife and I.
If I pull the trigger on the new center console dinghy I am eyeing, then I hope to be able to sell the Aventus one this spring. I should know by the time the weekend ends if I am moving forward with the new one.

Thanks Brent. Also looking at the West Marine RIB for about $2K. And I see Mercury has a PVC for about $1800 and the hypalon for about $2300. One good thing about buying from Dingy Concepts is they will fix any issues right there, where the other I think you have to ship back? Did you haul it and if so, how? And yes, a bow seat is nice - don't see that too often.

Midexp, When I purchased the Avnetus from Dinghy Concepts, I worked it out so that Dinghy Concepts came up to Fair Haven (DNR launch) with the new dink on a trailer. I had a 2004 Zodiac which I was trading in towards the cost of the new Avnetus. I took the Zodiac over to the launch (real close to our marina) and we did an exchange. Put my 9.9 Merc on the new dink and went back to our marina.
