I've past that plenty of times, but have never anchored there. Did you just go in like you were going to Fisher and then turn right into Foose or is there a trick to getting in? We did go to Poormans and stayed till the end of the fireworks. I backed the boat into it's slip at around 12:15 a.m. then drove to the house. 4:45 a.m. came way to fast, I've fallen asleep 3 times trying to type this.:D
 
I just stayed in the middle as usual and then hung a right. Pretty easy. I was churning up a bit but I also noticed all size boats were too. It was 5 feet ish until the back which is where I am in the pic which is around 4ft. I think everyone was churning up cause it was newer sand bottom. I was nervous of the uncharted waters at first but then I saw my buddy with his 410 there so i knew I was good.
You need to check it out. I’ll be back there for sure

Its just like poor mans...you can anchor in any depth. I am 2' under the props in that picture. The bottom is all sand not like the mud you get in Poor mans and the water is crystal clear to the bottom.. The only thing not good is it can get a little rough...

You can say that again. Hopefully it stays that way through this week. We're pulling out Wednesday morning heading to Port Huron. Wednesday night and Thursday night at Bridge Harbor Marina then coming back to Beacon Cove on Friday. Saturday we're going to Idle Hour off the South Channel for "Boat for Vets" and take some Veterans out on the boat for the day. Sunday, probably one of the bays or possibly a clean up the boat day.
 
Sounds like an awesome weekend planned

We’re heading down to CP Friday morning at 6am. Weather just changed to rain all weekend there and of course here will be beautiful. Not surprised though.. We’ll make it fun regardless. I just worry about the wind cranking up

Friday nights, GM along with 94.7 put on free concerts right outside the GM Ren Cen building. Will be down there the first weekend in August, which is when Kenny Chesney is playing in town. Should be quite the dock side party.

Brent as it turns out I'll be down there for KC also. I'm going with Rock On and staying on his boat. Hopefully I'll see you there.
 
Not sure if any of you noticed the thread Blueone started here in the Great Lakes forum called "Rendevous 2018" but we are trying to get a meet and greet going at Metro Park. We are thinking 15th/16th or 22nd/23rd of Sept. If anyone is interested reply to that thread and let us know which weekend would be best for you. It would be neat to put faces to the names we type to all the time. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Sorry for the delayed response, just got back from China for business.
Heading to metro tomorrow for the weekend, really looking forward to it after a long trip.
Cool man, looking forward to seeing down there and getting the chance to meet you in person. After Milliken, heading to PIB and Kelley's Island for the week.

Sounds good Brent, Maybe I'll cruise through Metro this weekend and look for that 480. If you get a chance read through Blueone's Rendezvous 2018 thread and see if it anything there works for ya. We're trying to get a "Lake St. Clair Peeps" get to together going. In that thread Great Lakes said he was going to be at Metro soon, not sure what weekend, maybe this one.

Are you talking about Metro Beach Park? I am looking for a long weekend getaway. Any recommendations for a transient marina?
