Lake of the Woods

Hello from Northern Minnesota,
It's been a year since we purchased our first Sea Ray 220 DA. We kept our boat at two marinas on Lake of the Woods. We started out at Buffalo Point, Manitoba. I got a little frustrated with the wind every weekend, so we moved it back down to the Rainey River Marina, north of Baudette. The Rainey River marina was only a few minutes from Lake of the Woods, and when it was too windy we just stayed on the River. Lots of great memories for our first year.

There's a few Sundancers on Lake of the Woods. And one of the best walleye lakes in the world. Quite a few boat owners from Minnesota, North Dakota, Ontario and Manitoba keep their boats there. Just wondering if any Lake of the Woods Sundancer owners visit Club Sea Ray too?

It's a beautiful place to boat, but dangerous too. Lots of rocks and stumps at or below the water.

Hi again,
Here's a couple more pictures from last summer, including me with a whopper. Just kidding.
If I don't see myself buying a lake cabin in the next couple years, I will probally be looking to upgrade to a 27 or 29 foot preferably amberjack, if not sundancer. It's hard to find a good used amberjack in this area. Looking to trade for 2000 or newer and something I can trailer. Anyone have any leads?

I've spent a few years exploring Whitefish Bay down by Nestor Falls in our Ranger...What a beautiful lake, you never know what you will hook on your next cast.
