Lake of the ozarks 09

Real men beer doesn't have cinnamon (sp?) or a hint of fall spices! Rotgut, real home brew, or cheap 'merican beer. All else is for fags (JK).
Yeah I was just joking when I pointed out the beer..... I grew up drinking Strohs, Genese Cream ale, Meister Brau, and Piels. Then for about 10 years living strickly on frozen pizza and Rolling Rock. Now just Miller Light. All good stuff! Oh, and if I spelled any of the beers wrong, blame it on the frozen pizza.

Love the Lake of the Ozarks - the dam, the parties, the party cruises (still going?). Great pics!!!!!!!!!

(JK).

Seems LOTO was featuring overly high levels of e coli this year. The state DOR knew about it, but didn't release the information for fear of hurting tourism. Still a big party lake, but you need a big boat for the big water. Anything less than 30'+ is dicey on the weekends in the main channel. I'm not a big fan of the lake, but everything surrounding it (restaraunts, golf, shopping etc.) is awesome.

I grew up on Blatz in college, $5.00 a case including the $1.20 deposit on the bottles. The stuff was crap, but after you choked down the first one it didn't matter any more. When we were stepping out and going upscale, we would splurge on Old Milwaukee Light:wow:. And when we were really going large, it was Mickey's malt liquor in the wide mouth barrel bottles. That stuff left a mark. Ah, the good old days. Now it's Beefeaters on the rocks off the boat and Heine Light on the boat.

My dad drank Schaffers when we were growing up because he knew we wouldn't steal that crap.

I am not a big fan of cinnamon or spicey seasonal beers. I like belguim ales, mich amber or bud select or regular bud. A very nice party cruise boat is still running at the lake. They have a live band and food. The website is www.cruiselake.com

My buddy had quite an impressive beer can collection from around the world when we were kids. We would occassionally take one down and pass it around. Maybe that's where I lost my taste buds. Beer from a 30 year old can that's been lost in the woods and then sitting on a shelf for a few decades.

If I was your kid, I would have drank that stuff too!

Hampton, your lucky to be alive after drinking that stuff. LOL
My dad drank 905 beer when I was getting close to drinking age. The stuff was $1.50 a six pack in about 1978 or 79. I never took his beer but we did sample some his wine and spirits. Thanks for the reply. Have a great weekend.

Black label? Who was that brewed by? I had a very old and large beer can collection and never saw that brand.
