Lake Norman Sandbar

For those of you not familiar with Lake Norman, the sandbar is one of the best locations to hang out on the weekend. Lots of people tie up there (especially on July 4th).

Yes, it is a frat party on water. Lots of bow riders that do not know how to anchor or tie up properly. They are not professionals! It’s also very rough due to all the traffic. It can be quite a scene though with a couple of hundred boats. My suggestion is if you check it out make your own line and only tie up with those you know.
