Lake Norman lowdown?

We cruised over to North Harbor Club for lunch yesterday. There were quite a few boats out and even some waverunners. Beautiful day. Hard to beat 62 and sunny in late December!

Good to hear you got the boat out. I did see a few boats out also on the North end of the lake.

LKN forecast is 68 tomorrow. Going to cruise to North Harbor or maybe Port City. Not sure if Port City does brunch?

Port City's food is great. I've only eaten lunch there though. North Harbor is great too. I've only eaten dinner there. Haha Never been there by boat.
If I didn't have to work tomorrow, I'd meet you at either place. Next time Jim. We have all summer.

Very true Mike. Looking forward to getting together.

trit 21is very correct lake boaters do not seem to know the rules. My parents had a cottage on a lake system that ran to 5 lakes and one could go 30 miles in one direction through the creaks and lakes from end to end. When I was a child 50 years ago a 10HP was average motor a few had 18 and 25. Top speed might have bee 25 MPH Now people have 250 HP 22 foot bow riders and 24 foot pretend cruisers. They mostly drive fast and do not know how to drive. Lots of waves and lots of water sport pulling. Lakes seem to have become a dangerous place. In my youth we went fishing with our 10HP in a 16 foot punt and could drink beer but now you go to gail for that. Probably good thing as a 50 MPH boat with a beer drinking skipper is not a good thing.

Hey, I resemble that 24' pretend cruiser remark! Lol
...but my boat will only go 36mph, down wind, down hill.....and I like to swerve alot. Lol

First of all Mike is a Crown drinking drunk skipper not a beer drinker. Second of all the bigger worry is not his boating drunk instead it's when he falls asleep at work a melts down the reactor.

Lol, Jim no worries there, I'm not in charge of melting the reactor down. I have to respond and save it when ops does.haha
