Maybe this is an old question but, has Lake Murray recovered from the dam fixing? Is the fishing back? Is the water level back to normal? If so it might be time to take a road trip down there. I remember it to be a beautiful lake.

It has been revcovered with pollen. It is so thick is some spots you can walk on it!

...but yes the lake is above 356 SL. Max normal level is 358. We normally don't see 358 until late May and then it tapers off to around 355-356 around August. So the lake is at its normal level.

My parrents are looking to buy property on lake Murray. They will be down there again this weekend looking at lots, I think this is their third weekend in a row they'll be over there. I hope they find one soon so I'll have a place to take my boat.

I don't know what kind of lot they want, but they should look on Mallard Drive. It's not in a new subdivision, some of the houses are a little rough.... lake shacks basically. But there are two lots that are affordable, and as time passes the owners will eventually either sell their little shacks, or tear them down and rebuild. Of course, they may be looking at $500K lots, in that case, they would not want to look at those. Good luck! It's a great lake!
