Lake Merwin boating

Do folks prefer to launch from Speelyai or Cresap? Is one less crowded? We will be launching around noon tomorrow. And any advice for spending a day on the lake? Where are good spots to tie up and let the kids run around for a while, how's the water temperature this time of year, any other tips? Thank you. We are going to stay at Lone Fir "resort" also - any nearby food recommendations?
