Don't know about the rest of you Carolina guys, but Lake Murray is at normal summer time levels, about 3 feet away from full pool. The lake commies must be asleep at the floodgates. Normally they do not have the lake up to this level until April or thereabouts.

You must be why Hartwell is empty. After two or three years of no water you deserve some water in Lake Murray. I am writing my Congressman right now so that Hartwell can get equal treatment

Hey Charley maybe those canbotes you sunk last year finally made it to the right place. Glad to here the water is up, I know that there are a lot of folks there that are glad also with all of the boats I saw on lifts that could not get in the water.

Paul,

Thank you for your gracious contribution  . I hope Hartwell will be back to the usual levels soon. You are always welcome to come over and enjoy Lake Murray and tie off to my dock.

I almost kept my mouth shut regarding the levels. As soon as we have our first 80 degree day, the canbotes will probably break loose from the water intakes and the lake will drain immediately.

Dag nab it!!! Charley I told you not to let the cat out of the bag, first thing this morning I got a call from the Canbote police wanting to know if I had anything to do with stuffing those buggers in the holes in the dyke. Next thing you'll know they are going to be pulled you and the lake will be down to 2 ft again! :smt021

Rich,

The canbote cops were out in force yesterday. They were running up and down my cove with their bumpers skimming the surface of the water.

Good news/bad news. Obviously it's great that the lake is up to its normal levels. However, it also means that all the canbotes beached along the shore are now floating and many will be back in service this spring thereby increasing the aluminum to fiberglass ratio.

Sounds like you need to get the EPA involved Charlie. Either that or your are going to have a big aluminum polution problem on Lake Murray. Next thing you know they may have to declare it a disaster zone and use the Super Fund to clean it up. :smt021 ...............Either that or they can hire Richard to come and get all those Canbotes and turn them into nuts and bolts. :smt101

Actually I won't be able to make this years show after all. :smt009

Appreciate the thought though Paul. I was looking at the mega 50 ft 4 toon yacht. With quad 300 verado's on the back and 500 watt stereo and gas grill. :smt101
