Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollow water levels?

I have heard they lower the lakes in the fall and winter, when do they do this for each? I know Lake Cumberland is already down some for dam repairs, will they lower it more? Thinking about a mid October trip to one of them. Thanks, MM

Not sure about Dale Hollow but I do not believe that LC gets lowered past where they are currently keeping it for damn repairs. I kinda like the level it's at but hope summer pool goes up to 700. 720 brought to much debris. I was just there last weekend and it's at 680.

Dale hollow has already began draw down. they usually start dropping it in August. See the red line on the bottom graph:

Mike, glad you found the info you needed. I was getting a bit concerned that no one would be able to help. You see, folks from the area you were inquiring, can hardly read or write, much less use a computer. Thank God Sea Ray owners are a cut above the rest of the population, lest your question would have never been answered. I hope you and K have a great trip, it's a beautiful area....and the folks are nice too, when you can coax them out of their caves.

Hello,
From one of the cave dwellers who has a boat docked on Dale Hollow Lake.
DH has been lowered but still plenty of deep water along with all of its natural beauty!
Surprised!,......and we can actually read and write, with our college degrees.
