Labor Day Weekend with Rusty Higgins and a SRL Photographer

Thank you for sharing, those are some great pictures and it looks like a good time was had.

amazing Ken! I look forward to seeing an article
In Sea Ray Magazine in the near future! Can't imagine what the photos look like from the helicopter!

Ken, thank you for getting Rusty and Rodrigo together for our event. Rusty is an incredible person and he jumped right in and helped I personally spent sometime with Rusty and he is the real deal. Sea Ray should take note of what a valuable employee and friend to the Sea Ray community he is. Rusty Higgins will be the first person I call when I want my next Sea Ray which hopefully will be a 410 or 450 Sundancer. Rusty and Rodrigo truly complemented each other a treat to be able to spend time with both of them. Rodrigo Denoso took some incredible shots and tweeted he wants to by a Sea Ray just so he can join the Northern California Sea Ray Boat Club. Rusty I hope your home safe and that I get to spend time with you again my friend thank you for everything you did. We both need bigger lungs! Giving your watch to Paul Sharps was very touching your a great man with a big heart. Thank you Roger Kelly

Ken,
Great pics & looks like a great event! Thanks for sharing!

Great event. I'm glad you got some participation from Sea Ray. It must be a monumental task from an organizational & logistical standpoint. The pictures, especially the overhead shots are very nice, even magazine worthy. Thanks for posting.

Yes, thumbs up on the dinghy drive-in. Did you watch Captain Ron? pretty cool. looks like a fun time had by all.

This year we watched a tribute to the history of the Circle Cruise assembled and put on by Curley/McIntyre Productions, a famous (well in our club) production team. Captain Ron would be a great addition to the dinghy drive-in though!

Looks like an awesome time was had! Thanks for the pictures and holding an event like this. Looking forward to the Heli shots....I do that a bit also, Mike.

Wow... I could never imagine living on the Left Coast until now... I know the skiing is good, and boating looks fun too... I noticed some of the boats were registered in Nevada... I assume there is a tax reason for that... We all have a local tricks to save money...

Rod, most of the boats are US Coast Guard documented. Many of our members live in Nevada to get away from the ridiculous taxes here in California. It's less than 3 hours to get to the marina.

Great thread...even better pics! It's always great to read about these types of events. Add in Rusty and it makes it even more special.

Thank you for sharing!

Ken,
excuse my ignorance on this but ..
that wagon wheel is really cool but isn't it more work than fun ??
looks like an aweful lot of logistics involved to have a good time on the water

Your ignorance is excused. There is a lot of work by maybe a dozen of us so another 100 - 120 can have a blast. Trust me, I have a bit of fun out there too. Seeing all of the people having such a good time makes it worthwhile and that is no BS. Lastly, please don't call it a wagon wheel, there are no spokes on our Circle!

Then it is well worth it !!
and..again..that damned ignorance factor..won't happen again

Far,far away worth it Jim, and you heard it right here. What Ken, Roger, Paul and the list goes on, accomplish is beyond amazing and that they have done this every year for twenty years now. I hope to report more on what needs to be said about this event from many points of view but until then, please know that I was blown away by what these guys do; so that many other exclusive SR owners can experience a long weekend on the water with nothing short of the very best time one could possibly desire to have if but for only once. I saw it and lived it for five days and am still wondering if I was finally on that Captain's dream journey that has eluded me until now.....Thank you Rear Commodore and please report that I have something to say about you guys and will do so that ALL can know what a valuable group the Sea Ray Boat Club of Northern California truly is. I remain;

Capt. Rusty Higgins

Right on, I'm sure everyone there came away with needle marks from your Sea Ray knowledge injections. You're like the Tonto to the Lone Ranger.
