Kvh4 question

Hey guys how can I change my satellite or channel on my KVH4 , I'm in Michigan getting all Chicago channels for news , I've never tried using this until now I just activated it this weekend , ???? Let me know cause I need some help.

There should be setup section in the menu (of your, I assume DirecTV box) where you would change the zip code to get local channels/news for the area you're in.

I don't think you can change it. When you opened the account, I'm sure they asked the location zip code and usually make it clear those will be the local stations you will receive. If you boat outside the area you won't pickup the "locals".

To my knowledge, there are two places where this can be changed. One is at "user level", hens the DirecTV box. The other is "Tech Level" at the dish. I know his for a fact, b/c I had to reconfigure mine when I moved the boat from CT to NJ when I just got it. When I had the boat in Charleston, I was looking at NY tri-state area local channels. I didn't feel like changing them, but I could.
