I have Kruise Air conditioning/heater unit on my 99 290 Sundancer. I have a couple questions...

1) When boat is plugged into shore power, does heater operate from the AC electric?

2) Can I set inside cabin temp at 50 degrees & leave heat on in winter if pugged into shore power?

3) On 1999 Sundancer 290, where exactly is the air conditioner installed/located and how do I access it to change filters, etc?

Sorry for all the "newbie" questions - This is my first Cruiser... Thanks eveyrone!

1) Yes.
2) Yes, maybe. I'm not sure your t-stat has that low of a setting, though. Of course, your boat is wet-slipped, right?
3) No idea.

1. Yes
2. Yes, efficiency drops when water temp falls below 40*F. If the temp gets too low (water temp) the unit will shut off. In your area, the output line will likely freeze when outside temps fall below 15-20* outside.
3. I think you should see the filter cover on the bottom step, and the unit is behind that....the filter grate just lifts off.

Good luck,

Don

You cannot set the temp below 55 on the cabin control panel.
