I could never understand what made SeaRay put a rug in the head and shower area . About 14 years ago I decided to put in a marble tile , this boat has been all kinds of sea conditions not once has one ever loosened up. If you have young children it’s the way to go !

Sea Ray did not use tile or prefinished wood for flooring at the time your boat was built. Tile was considered unacceptible because the tile adhesives and gout contained no mastic component 30+ years ago, so the tile and grout would crack and loosen.

Modern adhesives and grout are much more user friendly and can withstand the flexing a floor in a boat is subjected to.

Makes sense I did add an elastic additive into the grout

Frank you are a plethora of knowledge. Is there any subject you don't excel in?
