We were out on a lake today and pulled into a courtesy slip at the marina. While we were sitting there on the boat the guy in the next slip came walking down to his boat and asked me what size my boat was. I replied 22 foot. He said "must just be deep". I was alittle puzzled by his replie. A few minutes later we got off our boat to walk up to the marina and I looked at his boat. It was a new 235 cuddy by - well I won't name names (not sea ray) and our boat absolutely dwarfed his. Ours was longer and deeper. His looked like a 20 footer next to ours. I couldn't believe they were calling that a 235. Our 220 cuddy is 23' 8" overall.

You know his "wheels are turnin'" and he could quite possibly be a future Sea Ray owner...................

Oh, crap. Those morons at SR's marketing dept. think my 230 is bigger than your 220. Guess what?? It's not :smt013 .

Most mass production boat manufactures are the same way. Look at Crownlines model changes in the last 3-4 years. A 230 became a 235, a 225 became a 23 etc. etc. A lot has to do with swim platforms being added to the hull (no bolted on) in updated molds.
