6 Days to go!

This weekend we'll take delivery of our 2005 420 Sedan Bridge. Good timing overlapped this week of anticipation with our 6 year old's spring break, so we packed up and are enjoying Puerto Vallarta.

Our 6am flight out of DC on NWA started in traditional fashion - we believe that they have a policy to let parents of small kids relax - and so never seat us together with our children. However, respect and concern for our fellow passengers (at least those within 3 rows of our 2 year old) generally makes us ask to be reseated. So the sleepy passengers in first class got a non stop discussion from our son all the way to Detroit. I'm sure they appreciated it.

The trip south went much more placidly with nothing remarkable occuring. By mid afternoon, we were resting peacefully in Casa de Seville http://www.vacationrentals411.com/vacation/16483.html looking out at the ocean.

Monday-
Today's whale watching expedition was cancelled as a mutiny of some sort took place at our travel company leaving all parties pointing their fingers at each other. No problem - we quickly escaped and took a tour of the city. Highlights included a tour (with samples) of a traditional tequila distillery (the 2 year old loved that), kitesurfers going 10-15 feet airborne, and some apolgetic whales that joined us for lunch and put on a show off the beach. The afternoon involved sorting out the debacle of our itinerary, which is actually harder to do when you are determined not to be upset and to stay "on vacation". Tomorrow holds Ballenas part Deux - hopefully all goes well and the whales will show. And our 320 was supposed to head to the dealer Monday- hopefully the Chesapeake Bay was relatively calm.
