Hi,
New to the site. Just purchased a 1978 Sea Ray SRV 240 with Flybridge. Previous owner took great care of it.
I may put an outboard kicker motor on the stern. Is there a recommended size (HP) for this size boat?
Thanks

I have a 9.9 4 stroke on my 21 foot jetboat with remote electric steering, boat weight dry is 3200 pounds. It will push the boat at 6 knots. If it is for fishing 9.9 works well. If it was for saving you I would have got a 15 as the weight is the same. Get a 4 stroke as it can be direct plumbed into your boat gas tank. I have seen up to 30HP as a kicker on a 24 foot Bayliner.

I run a 9.9 4 stroke long shaft on my 83 Sea Ray SRV 280. Don't do any record speeds but will get me home if needed and trolls well for fishing.
