Is it a common problem for the electronic control pad on the dash to go out? I have a 2000 SunDeck. Suddenly, I couldn’t turn blower, bilge or lights on, only horn worked and depth finder wouldn’t turn off

My horn button is out, the rest seems to work fine for now. I replaced the peanut pad with one from ebay, but it didn't help so apparently my problem is in the EIM.

If your problem is the pad, Hyannismarina has the replacement pads on ebay for $300 (search for sea ray part 1718632).

Founder Pounder is supposedly come up with an EIM replacement using standard toggle switches but it hasn't been made available for sale yet. Flounder Pounder kit is at the link below.

I replaced the “peanut” this weekend, also. It didn’t fix my problem either. Only the horn works still

I just tested and shipped two new replacement Electronic Interface Modules (EIM). I tested them with a new peanut keypad and can't see any reason they wouldn't work with any peanut keypad in working condition. I have another dozen on the way and I'm taking orders for them. Price is $550 delivered by Priority Mail. Comes with instructions. We're also developing a 10 button replacement for the peanut keypad which would mount in the same space with a filler plate behind it. This keypad would use the same plug as the peanut, but would add two 5 amp accessory circuits to the boat. It should be available before summer. If anybody is interested in the new EIM please send me an email. james@islandmarinegroup.com

This unit works only with the peanut keypad, not the tear drop ones on the 280-320. Thanks!
