I have a year 2000, 340 Sundancer. Over the weekend I went down to the boat. When I tried to unlock the door that leads from the cockpit into the cabin, the key broke off in the lock. A portion of the broken key is now stuck in the lock.
I’ve tried everything I know of to try to get the key out and it still remains inside the lock.

1. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get it out?

2. If I have to buy a whole new lock assembly, does anyone know where I can get that new lock assembly from?

thanks.

If you have some small picks you may be able to use the 90 degree one to reach in and grab on to a piece of the broken key and pull it out. If it is hard to turn is why it broke off then wd40 the key slot after you get the piece out and if you have another key then carefully work it back and forth until it turns, don't force it. If no extra key then take the key pieces to a locksmith and if he has a manuel keycutting machine he should be able to cut another key.

If no pickset then your local hardware store or auto parts store normally carries them.

If you can open the door you can disassemble the lock assembly from the inside. If not check your hatches maybe one is open and you can get in that way and open the door. Otherwise a locksmith may be best option. You do not want to screw up the door itself as Sea Ray is not making them anymore.

Thanks all. Appreciate your help.

If you use the glue make sure you only attach it to the broken piece

Happened to me on my 400DA. It's a surface mount lock mechanism so I had my guy drill it out. Like others have said; " don't mess the door up "
I found a replacement lock assembly at Flounder Pounder.
