Keep Track of Rising Prices

Premium at Sam’s is $3.71 today.

I kind of laugh when I see all these people in lines at Sam’s and Costco. I can understand the waiting in line if they went shopping there. But a lot of these folks drive just for the gas. Most of them are only getting 15 gallons of gas, so they’re saving a whopping $3.70. That’s not including the time it takes to go there and back.

If they had a truck or a Suburban like I did with a 42 gallon gas tank, I could understand

Kind of bummed that my new to me Yukon XL only has a 31 gallon tank. My old suburban got 11.2 miles per gallon when towing. So with the 42 gallon tank I did not have to stop for three or 400 miles.

In theory without towing I could drive that thing 650 + miles.

it will be interesting to see what kind of mileage I will get out of this Yukon XL View attachment 140595
I agree. i took me years to get her to understand, but I finally convinced my wife that it costs her money to drive to Sam's to get gas and back home unless she was going to be close for some other reason. I only get gas at Sam's if I am driving by or am shopping there. Premium on the street her was $3.82, so I saved $.71/gallon on 11 gallons. Worth the stop.

Lots a folks bitch about cost of things going up. Some advice for the peons, from the WSJ...'To save money maybe you should skip breakfast'.

Im sure many “peons” are already skipping breakfast. Prices on eggs are bullshit. Peons have no choice but to eat sparsely.

I don’t want to hear rich fat old white guys complain about how much their slip rates went up or how much they were quoted for a fucking tune up and oil change. o_O

I might fit the “Fat old white guy” part but I’m sure not rich.

Watch who you're callin' rich.

Soooo, you’re not skipping many breakfasts.
Nope. An English muffin a day lightly buttered and a cup of coffee starts my day most mornings. A light inexpensive start to my day.

In comparison Gas is free…. I paid $10 for this box of screws yesterday …….. thank god my boat doesn’t run on fasteners

Just picked up a new Escalade. At least it runs on regular.

our electric bill in Florida is 25% higher per kilowatt hour this year than the same month last year
Does everything work on it? My Yukon Denali will be a year old next month and I'm still waiting on chips to get some sensors working.

Went to the DoubleT diner for breakfast. Got a 3 egg western omelette, home fries, all buried in sausage gravy, 2 rye toast, coffee. $9.49.
I’m done eating till tomorrow.
Yesterday the wife and me took a run to east part of city. Hit 2 Jewish delis. Pastrami rueben, 2 mile high corn beef on rye, 2 loaves authentic Jewish rye. Fat pickles. 2 huge Jewsh dogs. Cole slaw, half pound. $50. OMG!
We eating well this week.

Things is bad in Britain too, they tell their peons to work more hours if they want to eat....and because tomatoes, cucumbers are in sort supply the peons should 'cherish' turnips.

Speaking of turnips...about 115 years ago my grandmother left Europe because about all she had to eat was turnips, better than nothing I suppose but folks was starving.
