Justice? Really?

+1 OldSchool
It is sad to read that b/c it is so true. People will look and just walk by. Sure they will make their comments and in the next breath will have forgotten what they just saw. Not all but most.
I sat and listened to the NYC Mayor and wondered. How did you get in office? Where is your leadership? No not just to the men and women in blue but to the entire city that you serve. He told the news media it was their fault that this guy from Baltimore came to NYC and killed those two officers. They fueled his fire. Really? You don't think that maybe Garner/Brown/Holder/Obama/Sharpton and you DeBlasio had more to do with it as your stage is much bigger than what they wrote? You, Mr. Mayor said - he had been arrested some 29 times or something like that. Garner, 43, had history of more than 30 arrests dating back to 1980, on charges including assault and grand larceny. At the time of his death, Garner was out on bail after being charged with illegally selling cigarettes, driving without a license, marijuana possession and false impersonation. He also had a history of illness, heart disease, severe asthma, diabetes, obesity, and sleep apnea. He didn't die at the scene he died in the ambulance when he went into cardiac arrest. But the protestors don't see that. Like most they walk on by and only hear the words by the mayor/AG/POTUS/Activist and so on. Why did you mention that Mr. Mayor? Why? Now the mayor wants the protestors to stop protesting until after the funeral on 12/27 for Officer Ramos. Really. How about I want and need you to stop and bring order to this great city of ours. But that won't happen.
I spent 20+ years on active duty. Went to the Gulf War. Was on my guard for the time I was there and especially during the Scud missle attacks. But it was nothing compared to what soldiers have done for the last 10+ years and what police officers do day in and day out for the people they protect. I can't even imagine the stress of every shift wondering deep inside of me but not so others/friends and family could see, is today my day that I use my gun or gun is used on me.
Now, two wife's are without husbands, children without a father and a FOP without their friends. Very sad. I do hope those I mentioned above are happy for what they churned up and the outcome of their actions. That being - The Death of Two Officers.
Thanks to all of you that serve.

+ another 1 Old School. What a sad mess we are all in. Many thanks to all those who serve in all the services. Personally have to wonder how recruitment is going to go for the police force......Who will want such a dangerous and thankless, (from some groups) job........

"Today, I will not answer the radio call that your boyfriend has come home drunk and is beating you again. Today I will not answer the radio call that your 16 year old daughter, who is very responsible, is four hours late coming home from school. Today I will not answer the radio call that your store has been robbed or your house has been burglarized. Today I will not stop a drunk driver from killing someone. I will not catch a rapist or a murderer or a car thief. Today I will not answer the radio call that a man has a gun or tried to abduct a child or that someone has been stabbed or has been in a terrible accident. Today I will not save your child that you locked in a car or the child you were to busy to watch who went outside and fell into the swimming pool, but that I revived. No, today I will not do that.

Why? Because Today I was killed by a drunk driver while I was helping push a disabled car off the highway. Today I was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop to simply tell someone that they had a taillight out. Today I was killed in a traffic accident rushing to help a citizen. Today I was shot and killed serving a warrant on a known drug dealer. Today I was killed by a man when I came by to do a welfare check because his family was to busy. Today I was killed trying to stop a bank robbery or a grocery store robbery. Today I was killed doing my job.

A chaplain and an officer will go to a house and tell a mom and dad or a wife or husband or a child that their son or daughter or husband or wife or father or mother won’t be coming home today. The flags at many police stations were flown at half-mast today but most people won’t know why. There will be a funeral and my fellow officers will come, a twenty-one-gun salute will be given, and taps will be played as I am laid to rest. My name will be put on a plaque, on a wall, in a building, in a city somewhere. A folded flag will be placed on a mantel or a bookcase in a home somewhere and a family will mourn.

There will be no cries for justice. There will be no riots in the streets. There will be no officers marching, screaming “no justice, no peace.” No citizens will scream that something must be done. No windows will be smashed, no cars burned, no stones thrown, no names called. Only someone crying themselves to sleep tonight will be the only sign that I was cared about.

I was a police officer."

and thank you James Woods for standing up and telling Old Al Sharpton what you think! As a well known figure it took guts for him to say this.

Thanks posting this.

Hmmmm, did you see the thing where two men were caught smuggling handguns and other firearms on board Delta Airlines as carry-on baggage. One of the pair worked in the baggage handling area and walked the firearms (some loaded) around the security screening area, then gave the bags containing the firearms back to the guy who was flying from Atlanta to NYC.

I guess this should be in a post about how useless gun laws are when people can so easily go around them, but it's posted here in a thread on race issues. Guess why.

Sadly, due to all of the instigators mentioned above, St. Louis, and the entire nation, is now in extreme danger of completely exploding into all out chaos and anarchy. Last night we experienced another incident in the St. Louis suburb of Berkeley where a "Black teen" was shot dead by a "white police officer" who was clearly defending himself.

The officer was responding to a 911 call from a convenience store where two BM suspects were reportedly stealing items from the store. The Officer arrived on the scene and confronted the suspects just outside the front doors. While talking to the two "teens", the Officer was faced with a situation wherein one of the "teens" pulled a gun from their waste band and pointed it directly at him from about 10-15 feet away. The officer reacted in defense of his life, drew his weapon and fired 3 shots while retreating to a place of cover/safety. One round hit its mark and the POS fell dead while his accomplice ran from the scene. By the grace of God, the officer was not hurt.

As you can expect, the scene quickly erupted into a riotous mess complete with vandalism, assault on other responding officers and looting from a gathering of 2-300 "protesters". Social media quickly spread word of the shooting indicating the police had shot another unarmed teen and the rest of the media was all too quick to jump on the band wagon; just as they did in M. Brown and the rest of the criminals who died because they chose to make a series of bad decisions when dealing with a police officer. Despite this time the incident is on video, which shows the ARMED THUG (18 yr old with multiple priors including armed robbery, armed criminal action, multiple assaults and thefts ALL SINCE THE AGE OF 17 adequately meets this definition I think) pulled a gun on the officer without provocation; the media narrative in many cases is STILL being portrayed differently. As if that is any surprise.......

I'm simply am at a loss for words here. Please add this Berkeley officer and his family to your prayers.

The media is going to be hard pressed to turn this one around and when they do only those that choose to believe their BS will listen. It's hard to fight the video of the teen with the gun drawn and the officer with the gun still in his holster.

pray for all officers, from the MP's to the rookies still in the academy

So momma said he was a good kid and could always force a smile from you. Force seems to be the operative word here.
Hey media nuts, when does a momma ever say there kid was a thug, perv, murderer ETC... Just another displayed teen in society.

My cousin is flying in tommorrow (free courtesy of Jet Blue) from Oregon (PD) to attend the first funeral of Officer Ramos with me and a few thousand of my closest friends. Christmas just doesn't feel the same this year. .may he rest in peace.

Jet blue....I don't fly! I'd buy his ticket just to give you the thumbs up

my fear....they will protest near or at these funerals.
Without being asked or told, our marina flags will be at half staff. I know our military members here might fuss, but it's the least we can do to honor these men.

I just heard from my brother-in-law, who is on the motor squad of the Fairfax County Police Department (Virginia), that he and many of his fellow officers are driving up tomorrow to attend the funeral. 7 motorcycles and about 20 cruisers are making the trip! Thanks to you Charlie and your brother and sister officers for the support and solidarity.

Maybe you can drop by with a couple thousand friends and say hi to the mayor. Send him the one finger salute from us civilians.
Never mind he doesn't need any recognition during these funerals.:smt013
