I don't think the process could have been much easier, and these new units really treat the batteries well. Swapped from the original 3 bank/40A to this ProNautic 50A. Just had to drill 4 new mounting holes, and pull the AC wiring out of the conduit, since it used to be attached at the top of the old unit, and it's now attached at the bottom of the new. Really impressive amount of modes this new one can be programmed for. Picture was just after plugging it back in, so it still has my ugly prints all over it, and I hadn't switched from sealed to flooded battery mode.

Total time from opening unplugging the boat, swapping this out, and plugging back in, maybe 50 minutes.

Nice upgrade.

Just did the same thing last month......all new batteries and an alternator too. ate up a boat buck

Very nice! Thinking of going with all new Optima Blue Tops next year and may do this same upgrade while I'm at it.

Yep, did 4 batteries, and a port side alternator. Alternator wasn't bad though. Brand new off of Amazon for $75, took about 25 minutes to swap. I might do the starboard with the same unit, and keep the original as a spare.

Batteries, charger, alternator, one tenth of a boat buck short of a boat buck :)

I put a 1230p on my 300DA just this week. Took most of a day as I had to run all new larger wires on both ac and dc sides. Access was tight so took a while but worth it I think.
