I know it's been posted before about the new 310 and the weird "jump seat", but I finally had a chance to see this boat at the Dallas Boat Show.

I seat looks like a great asset when your on the hook and there are other brands with this type of seating arrangement, BUT...
it looks like's the factory used a sawzaw to make the opening! Completely unfinished, cheap, shoddy work!

The seat itself was very comfortable to sit on, but if you sit at an angle and any part of your leg has to rest on the fiberglass OUCH! :smt021

I can't believe they would put this on the market looking as it did, it really did stick out! I made the boat look like they ran out of design money as they worked from the front to back.

Other than that, nice boat.

Slack, I rode the 290DA which was supposed to replace the 280DA. The 290DA is not a nice riding boat. It sea sawed back and forth with twin 5.0L underneath it like the engines were not balanced or the driver could not balance the weight we had on board. It did get up and run, about 45 on the speedo. Would have loved to had a GPS with me.

I don't like the styling myself. The side saddle seat and other features just added to the turn off. I hope they don't screw with the 320 and 340. But hey, it ain't my company. :smt017

Yea, I agree. Time will tell of course. At least they don't look like the new Cruisers. I noticed a great loss of space in the cabins. Almost no aft-cabs what so ever! Huge bilge areas, but......

I agree with you slack250. I can't for the life of me figure out what they were thinking with that 310 seat except that they for some ungodly reason thought they needed to compete with the Rinker boat which has an aft seat on the swim platform. Which I might add is much nicer. You are also right about the cabins being smaller. It seems that the older boats have a lot more room in them. That's one of the reasons I opted for the older 400 not to mention the money!!

The one they had at our boat show must have had a defect as well. The back part of the seat kept getting pushed back into the opening. Trying to pop it back out was also amusing to watch. One salesman almost lost a finger. I'm sure later models will be fixed.

The boat show price for the 310 and 320 were only $2k apart. S-R does need to clean up that door. It has some rough edges.

I can see my twins using that this as a spring board...... :smt013
It does look like a nice idea, I'm sure they'll figure it out but that should have been done by now.

Big turn-off for me as well. I'd much rather have the trunk space for fenders, etc. When we sit on the back we like to dangle our feet in the water anyway. And they can have that cockpit grill. I see that as just a future nasty mess to deal with.

It seems to me that Sea Ray is a little too focused on gimmicks.

For the most part, I liked the cabin layouts of the 290 and 310 - especially liked the convertable seat/berth in the Vee of the 290. But the cockpits were unimpressive as was that goofy windshield frame on the 290.

I'm hoping I'll be able to find a like new 300 when I take the next plunge.
