July Bahamas Trip

[Odyssey]

Hi all - we're heading over to Port Lucaya on July 11 to celebrate the Bahamas Independence Day. we're leaving from Boa Inlet early and hope for calm seas. If anyone is interested, let me know.

On another note, does anyone know the condition of the north side of the Lucayan Waterway? Is it passable? Has anyone done it lately?

We went through it last year at this time in our 480 SB. We had to wait outside of the poles for about 2 hours for the tide to come all the way up. We launched the dingy to survey the entrance before we went through. We will have to go around this year, I am not going to try it in the 560 since it draws 54' of water.
