Turns out some more insensitive emalis have been discovered.

Not sure how i feel about an email sent to one oerson privately that gets out and costs someone their job.

Are there no more private thoughts? Cant people feel and think whatever they wish without the public getting it and punishing someone for their private thoughts whatever they are?

We are incredibly soft as a country. First Gruden, soon to be Urban Meyer cause he danced with some chick.

Has anyone seen the emails?… I haven’t …what was the context….who initiated the racist comments?….. media and everyone else is all about cancel culture without facts… and it was 11 years ago… wholly crap

The context was about lying and the NFL Players Association. Problem is he referenced the size of the dude's lips in the sense that lips tell lies.

But hey, he can go be Govenor of Virgina.

I have not watched the NFL for 2 years. Die hard Steeler fan here but have not even watched any of their games. They want to kneel for our flag? F'em. I don't need them

Im pretty sure Gruden will not be homeless any time soon...BOO HOO HOO
Anyone in the last ten years attaining the profile that he had and doesn't know enough about what will get you in hot water for writing deserves to be sent packing. I am just a lowly JC instructor with a conservative bend so every email I draft to my elite superiors, I proof read and edit twice before hitting send.
Carpe Diem

He should have been smarter than to put that crap into emails. Some of the email were as recent as 2017 or 2018. That said, I think email between two people should be private unless there is evidence of a crime (like storing classified email on a private server, but I digress). Unfortunately not everyone sees it the same way so I treat every email I send as a public document. It was an expensive mistake, costing him nearly $70M in guaranteed salary.

That said, there is nothing in Gruden's email nearly as offensive as the lyrics from the rappers performing in the Super Bowl.

I watch the NFL, I enjoy the sport, if not the players political views. Unless you are a Nielsen family selected to track in the company's ratings model, your viewing habits don't have any effect on the NFL. I do actively boycott their sponsors though.

And there’s the hypocrisy of our cancel culture. What’s so damn wrong about how Gruden feels or thinks? It’s his Right to think what he wants. Those emails were in confidence. I’m sure he has the sense to not write or state those opinions publicly.

Take a read at the lyrics for these gang bangers performing during Super Bowl half time.

So it’s only wrong, “disgusting”, “racist”, “misogynistic” if it’s anti leftist freaks.

F that. I hope my lowly Phins fire Flores and hire Gruden. But that won’t happen and we all know why it’s going to be very tricky to fire Flores.

Damn country is going to hell in a hand basket.

never ever send anything electronically that u would not say in church! privacy is slim to none sir.

It was his choice to resign, there was not pressure from the league or the owner. Was their pressure from the players that caused him to resign? Or did he think this was going to be a team distraction that was never going away?
