Just finished the install. I'm using the JL MM100 with one JL M/600 feeding (4) JL 6.5, one JL 300/1 feeding a MX10" woofer and one Kicker KXM 400 feeding (2) MX 770's. I'm getting 2 more MX 770's. Not sure If I want to use the last channel on the M/600 or The kicker.

Love the blue led speakers in the arch.

How are the 4 6.5" configured on the 6 chnl?

If the KM400 the 2 or 4 chnl? If 4 chnl how are the 2 7.7" configured to it?

I knew you were gonna chime in..lol. For now the (4) 6.5's are using channel 1 and 2 with 3 being empty. All at 4 ohms on the JL M/600. The 770's are on the KM 2 channel amp. When I add the other 770's I could either use the 3rd channel on the JL amp that is rated at 75w or connect it to the Kicker in parallel. The kicker is rated at 100w x2 at 4ohms or 200w x 2 at 2 ohms. If I connect it to that The HP filters will match and it will be on the same channel if I want to adjust the volume only on the 770's. What do you think. I can add another (2) 6.5's in the future with the JL amp OR just remove the stock one I'm still using for the cabin and run the 4 speakers off one channel. So many options...

Ok, so I guess its the "MX" 600/3 and not the M600/6? That makes sense that its the micro 3 chnl MX. Just an FYI, two 4 ohm speakers on one chnl will be 2 or 8 ohm, not 4 ohm. SO each 6.5" is netting 50W rms.

Either way, that MX600/3 is at capacity on the two full range chnls, so no adding more speakers.

Chnl 3 of that MX 3-chnl looks to be low-pass only, so its only a woofer chnl

The Kicker KM400.2 is perfect for those 2 pair of 7.7. It delivered 100W rms to each. 100W rms x 2 @ 4 ohm and 200W rms x 2 @ 2 ohm. This is the amp I want driving the 7.7's.

The KXM400.2 is feeding ( will be) (4) 7.7 at 2 ohms. The M600/6 is feeding (4) 6.5 at 4 ohms
The MX300/ is feeding (1) 10" sub.
This leaves me another channel for whatever

Here are where the other (2) 7.7 are going. Maybe 2 more 6.5 in the arch...lol kidding. Maybe not..lol

That's impressive. Should rock the casbah :)

SO it is the M600/6. I do not understand how you have 4 speakers, 6 chnls and 1 unused chnl, but looking at the pic, you have 2 chnl open. 3 & 4.

Anywho, two pair 7.7 on the KM400.2 and 2 pair 6.5 on the M600/6. This leaves chnls 3/4 open for another pair of speakers or a 4 ohm woofer.

Wow..is all I have to say. I just added 2 more 770's down low and the sound is amazing! So much mid bass I almost don't have to use the sub. Once I do it rocks! I cant believe what 2 extra speakers can do. Sounds like a stadium...

Now it's time to rip it all out and put in the new m6's:)

Great head unit, I have the same and love it.

Now get a pair of 8.8's into your system, they'll blow you away.

Question. With your volume all the way down and your amps tuned correctly do you still get a slight hiss sound out of your speakers? Ever since I changed to this head unit I'm getting a hiss. The only way to get rid of it is to turn my gain down on my amps below spec.

Negative on the hiss. Up/down/in the middle - squeeky clean.

I'm running two 6.5's/ four 7.7's/ two 8.8's / two 10" subs and the cleanliness and clarity is astonishing - whether low or concert level. Given my wiring was all circa 2002 and it was the old school type and looked as tired as the OEM system - I had the new wiring type (the 1/2" white tubing) run for the entire system .....completely replaced all old with new. My previous boat, I left the old wiring with new gear and had a hiss and it drove me crazy cuz I could never resolve it.

The new wire looked like this:

What Amps are you running? Did you set them yourself? Voltage or oscilloscope?

I'm running these.....had the whole system professionally installed, they did all aspects so I really don't have an answer on the last parts.
