Hi all!

Just found this forum, and have already gotten some good advice.

My boat is a 1997 280SS (a cuddy, not a SunDancer Cabin Cruiser) with twin 5.7 drives.

I hail out of Toms River NJ, north of the Rt 37 bridge. After an extensive internet search for SeaRay 280's, I found my boat four houses down the street! I purchased June of last year.

This is my first powerboat. Scary huh? Especially since I was I remain a puffer. I still have my 1972 Bristol 22. A classic day cruiser that I value more than the SeaRay, despite the fact that boat has has a retail value lower than my Spring Commissioning bill for the SeaRay! That boat has been in the family for 25+ years. . . .

But I am tickled pink with my SeaRay. I did enough research to not buy "too small" out of the gate, and every dock approach reminds me why I like twin alpha drives better than a single B3 drive! (Although. . .my answer may be different after the spring commissioning bill!)

So after a 10 monthes of ownership. . .I have learned alot. Trying to maximize *important* maintenance, while eliminating *make work* maintenance bills foisted by various yards. Can't wait to get in the water in another 5 weeks!

I definately do not yet have two foot'itis. . . which is a good thing for my retirement fund! (Although. . . I think I do have a weak spot for 38 Sundancers. . .)

Have a good day everyone!
