I don't know how many of you have followed this young lady's quest to become the youngest to sail around the world solo and unassisted. I have, and I am impressed. She has shown a great deal of fortitude and maturity, but you can see in her writings that sometimes she's just a kid.

Did you read her blog post and see the photo dated Sunday, January 24, 2010?

Holey chit!

Tim, are you also following Abby Sunderland?

No, I just found out about Abby Sunderland. If I follow too many teenage girls' quests to sail around the world, my wife may start thinking I have a problem:wow:. (Yes, I am aware that I have left myself open to some sort of smart ass comment from Gary...)

That January 24th post was one in particular that caught my attention. How many 16 year olds do you know that wouldn't be on the phone saying "get me the hell out of here, I quit".

Guess you will need to find teenage girls with different quests then.

Posted in the spirit of a Gary style reply. Did I do good Gary?

:wow: I just read that post and that is unbelievable! I followed Zack's blog when he was doing it. It was an interesting read.

Well I wish her the best and hope she has as good a support team as Zack did around the weather and courses to plot...

4 knock downs!!!!! Insane I would be leaving!!!!

For those who are interested Jessica Watson arrives back in Sydney this Saturday around 11:00am Sydney time..She was smacked by 12 meter waves coming through the Great Australian Bite (Area between Western Australia and South Australia)

Anyway, I like a lot of others will venture out to see her come in. Apparently there will be an estimated 50,000 people lining the shores to watch her passage to the Sydney Opera House

Entering the Sydney Harbour heads completes her around the world journey

Ozzie
