OK, pardon this rant but I'm fed up with scammers and hackers and spammers and all sorts of other butt lickers whose only function in life is to prey on other people.

In the past couple of years my main debit card has been compromised three times and used to purchase crap for resale so they can buy more meth. Of course this means I have to get a new card sent to me and that involves it's own new headaches as I have to call all the places that I have auto payments to.

I'm also pi$$ed at spammers. I bet I get at least 6 spam calls a day, sometimes starting at 0500. At least Verizon identifies them as "Potential Spam" but the early ones still wake me up.

I have a solution. Let's pass laws that make all those arseholes guilty of a felony against mankind and they be put to death. No trial, no jury, no judge, just take 'em out behind the barn and do away with them.

It is the official "non-boating" section of the forum, it can be interesting at times to say the least...

Love that rant! But of course you can not publicly support that kind of behavior. That's like saying the general public should actually be part of law making and be part of the laws we must live by :eek::oops::rolleyes: :):):)

Laws wont work as the great majority aren't even in the US. I have three Internet/VOIP phone numbers from a legitimate carrier and all appear as if from South Carolina. But I could be calling from anywhere. Caller ID is not a secure message you can set it to anything you like.

I now use RoboKiller on my iPhone.
If you are in my address book you dont even notice.
If you are not it screens the call and asks you to identify your self and reason for call, sends that to me as a text alert first.
If it's from a know spam number it doesn't even ring.

I was definitely in the same 6+ spam calls a day, maybe one every week gets thru.
And no one has ever complained about not getting thru

There are few utube channels that talk to scammers for extended periods. It is interesting and entertaining.

Love the rant and agree 1,000%. Im a police officer in jersey and have over the last couple years taken reports from people who have been scammed out of thousands of dollars. It sucks talking to a granny who took out $20 k to pay for her nephew to be released from jail or a single mother who just sent $2,000 to the IRS in target gift cards. Educational information should be sent out more often by the government to stop this or like you said. Make it a death sentence case
 
I saw a meme where telemarketers have to wear a shock collar. And we get to shock them buy hitting the # button.
 
And if you are not in my phonebook, I don't answer. Haven't answered a phone since the days of answering machines. I paid for it. Let it do its job.
 
These jockeys took my Mom a few years back. You have my vote! and while we are at it lets ban the use of Embalming chemicals in public office. Of course humanly with term limits.
 
I am quite sure mike has used that card to buy boat wax and fuel so it is a boating thread officially because it obviously hinders his boat candy purchase power.
