It's almost boating season for much of the country

Our average temp through the Winter days was like 80.....Season never ended for us! :p

Fiat=Best tow vehicle
Harbor freight = Best Genny
and Bayliners RULE!

Haha haha I wasn't joking lol that actually happened! I always do something stupid in the beginning of the season. Last 2 years was running ground first trip out so hopefully this was my dumbass mistake of the year

opps....sorry....didn't know you were serious....last week we took the boat out for a slow cruise (around 8 mph)...the camper canvas is still installed right now...i had the center front camper window open and the windshield vent window open and the entire aft panel of the canvas open....when the camper canvas is installed i always move the CO detector from the cabin to the helm and insure the cabin door is closed while we cruise...on the trip out the wind was behind us...it was a light wind probably below 5 mph.....i watched the CO level on the detector go up and down...the highest it got was around 125 ppm...i was a little suprised it got this high with the amount of cross ventilation from the openings in the camper....as soon as we turned to head back the wind was against us and the CO level dropped to 0 and stayed there...this just shows how wind direction plays a significant role on CO levels on a boat especially when the camper canvas is installed....

Not me. I bought one of those Coleman heaters that runs on Coleman fuel. Works great but I have to go to the boat every 3-4 days to refill the heater. That's not too bad because I have about 7 or 8 gallons left and I keep it in the bilge.

My old vacuum hose from my generator to the bilge didn't work well so I put the whole generator in the bilge along with the gas can, that way I can refill it without shutting it down, keeps the bilge warmer when I have the engine hatch up, I don't loose as much heat.
Usually stays at 45.34576231 degrees.

Do not try to convince others you are correct on a boating website, if the majority have a different opinion. Capitulate early.

I learned that lesson my first year here.

Those colman stoves are easy to light,just pump the hell out of them ,turn on both burners to high and hit em with a propane torch.

Grrrrrrrrr:smt013 Dam you old man winter go away so I can bottom paint change zincs and move my boat to her new home so I can do my wood floors

Another tip for Newbies--

When your dock lines get dirty, the way to clean them is to toss them in the washing machine, throw in a few cups of soap, 2 cups of bleach and let them run through a gentle cycle. Then throw them in the dryer on as hot a setting as you can get and let it run for about an hour.
