Thank you I bin thinking about thatIf it's not to late, look at what I believe is called an apartment size fridge from any appliance supplier, and install a inverter for it. Will save tons of money and get a better fridge.

Doesn't look like that model has any moving air, curious if it builds up any frost.I just replaced a 1990 nor old due to compressor noise with a magic chef 7.4 cf. nearly identical size just not dc capable. Cost delivered $225
A little in the freeze and none in the refer. It’s has been on 2weeks and still clear in the freezer. When it comes time to defrost the freezer a towel, wife’s blow dryer and it’s done in 5min.Doesn't look like that model has any moving air, curious if it builds up any frost.
You will also get an auto defrost cycle! Helps keep the upper part of the snow making machine in check.
I’m not going to mess around i picked up the Norcold!Question for you fellas - is there not a downside to having a consistent 12V load like a fridge on your batteries, even when the charger is on? I assume you guys are buying pretty pricey inverters to trust leaving them on 24/7?
This seems like it would be more of a slam dunk solution if you could find an auto-switching inverter. But at that point you're probably spending as much as a new Norcold?
