Said like a true elitist! Half the Koch brothers is dead, and they were for open borders unfair trade if it benefited them. Just giving you fair warning, we the people are intent on reclaiming our country from the socialist/communist elites that took over in both parties, and restoring freedom...

He's an embarrassment and has serious TDS. Don't even engage him.

For me it has nothing to do with his political leanings which are not aligned with mine. There are others on here that lean left but they can articulate their point of view and why they feel that way and I respect that. Healthy debate is what made this country great. He brings nothing to this forum let alone healthy debate. Moderators already said they won't get rid of him, which is fine. I just ignore him and his post don't show up on my feed. One day he'll be asking for boating advice (which he probably needs a lot of) and no-one will respond.

I hope this works and we get back to work, but Americans need to know that A Chinese firm, that has connections to a former Communist Party leader, applied for a patent for this drug in the US in January. Hmmm...

Having your cake and eating it too.

Early part of the week everyone (media) was up in arms that the Federal government stated that it would decide and plan on the reopening of the country.

The governor of NY, was the poster child for the message that the Federal government had no role. Over and over again - this is a state decision, decided by the governors.

Mid week, the Federal government backed off, said ok - governors are in control of the re-opening...

Today I hear the governor of NY complaining that the Federal government should not be dumping this decision (and responsibility) on the states.

I wonder how the nightly news will cover this subject? I wonder if the voters who elect some of these governors "see" the duplicity of their statements.

I read further today they are trying to cut off an American company from getting the patent, Gilead Sciences.

Also there is much reason to believe the backlash against Hydroxychloroquine is the simple fact it is off patent, dirt cheap, not just TDS.

I expect we will hear the response during the upcoming White House briefing, should be a good one.
 
It is unreal the people that think they can control other people. On NextDoor a lady asked if anyone wanted to come over and do her nails. OMG! The response could not have been more vitriolic. When told she was an free adult others insisted that a plague gave them the right to tell her what to do, down to associations for personal grooming. My God, we live with totalitarian communists in our own neighborhoods.

An observation on attitudes I have seen during this is that many financially secure types, those with jobs they feel they will not lose if shut down for a while all seem happy for a quarantine sta-cation. Small business and their employees know how bad this will be for them and need to get back to work, but the stigmatization of those needing to work, which should be praised, is just unconscionable...

I like Governor Cuomo, most people here can't stand him because he's a Democrat. However, I think he's done a pretty good job handling a state as NY which was hit the hardest or close to the hardest in our country. Thumbs up Governor Cuomo!! Trump's name calling on anyone that questions him is getting really old. JMO

NY is one of the highest taxed states in the Union. With all of that tax money, one would assume that NY could be self sufficient. New Yorkers need to ask themselves "Where is all that money going?"

And under Cuomo's time as governor it's his responsibility to ensure the state has an adequate number of hospital beds, and adequate emergency supplies, including medical supplies. What happened?

This week we heard Cuomo and other governors tell us that the President that he "has no authority" to reopen the country, only they have the authority to reopen their own states. So, on one hand Cuomo is telling the President that, as governor, he is responsible for the affairs of his state New York, while on the other hand Cuomo is demanding the federal government to step in and bail out New York because he has mismanaged it so bad. So which is it?
