Issue with my Cruiseair

im having a issue with my cruiseair system. The fan runs and she will put out some heat but once the boat gets to that temp it will not come back on. Once you move the temp up or down it will start to heat again. Also it never really gets warm.

Could this just be a bad thermostate?

What kind of thermostat controls do you have?

I would do a factory reset and see if that cures your issues.

Please take a look at the documents linked in my signature area to see if you have the same controls as I do...... and turn to the factory reset section. Page 13.

This is a old unit from 1988. It has three rotary knobs. The top is on/off, the middle is fan speed, and the bottom is the temp/heat,AC.

We had that style in the past. Try turning the knob back and forth quickly a few times, some times it is just a dirty connection. They are basically a rheostat

That's mechanical thermostat. Not a lot u can do .. just try playing with it .. it will need to be replaced at some point .
