Isinglass Replacement 2005 Searay 390 Motoryacht

Need to replace my Isinglass cockpit enclosure on my 2005 Searay 390 Motoryacht. Anyone know of any companies that have the patterns for Searays? Or a shop in the Fort Myers area that replaces them? Thanks

Gioia Sails was OEM for my 2008; I am guessing they probably did the entire line. In any event, I don't think there is any difference in the canvas across model years. You may want to contact them, they have an office in Palm Coast. https://gioiasails.com

I will confirm that GLBT does not have templates for that model. I also check the list for Boatswains locker and they did not either. So my next guess would Gioia or possibly an internal production. We are dealers for Gioia and can check in with them if you like - PM me if interested.

BTW if your canvas is original it may have tags on from whomever produced it originally.

My 44DB came with canvas made by Gioia Sails. At one time, I wanted a new cockpit enclosure. I called them up and they told me there should be canvas drawings under the aft bunk in the mid-stateroom. Need less to say, after 10 years they were no where to be found. They said they did not have a drawing and could not replicate……

This issue pops up all them time with the larger boats most of which were individually fit. I asked why they wanted the templates left on the boat and the reasoning at the time was that this way they could be recreated using the templates in the tube anywhere in the world -- which kinda made sense -- unless of course the original owner took it off the boat, left it in their garage and never passed it along to the second owner.

Not sure why copies were not made - I am sure today it would be a different case with digital storage and archiving.
