Is your 270 SLX captain's chair uncomfortable?

Does anyone out there find it difficult to get comfortable while driving? When I am driving, I usually stand to see, and the seat is flipped up. If I lean back, I see the stainless steel windshield frame, so I have to stand and bend at the waist to be able to steer. After a few hours of boating, by lower back kills!! I have the seat all the way back, but it doesn't help. If I sit, looking through the windshield is not as clear, nor can I scan around me to see what is going on in the Lake. Is there a different model, or a way to raise the seat 4" so I can lean back comfortably? I love the boat otherwise!!

Yes, I have the same problem. I have gotten used to driving standing up. Garelick makes a telescoping seat base that should aleviate the problem. You have to buy it from a dealer. Last quote I got was $350.
